...Friday's Favorites...

I love when fall rolls around, because it means that it's time for lots of tReat making with my mom & sisters....and of all the yuMmy treats we make, my favorite is our caRameL aPpleS. They're basically just our version of Rocky Mountain's "Apple Pie" apple. We dip the caramel apple in white choColate, then roll it in ciNnamOn sugar, and top it all off with driZzles of more chocolate. They make such a yuMmy & pRetty treat...
perfect for eAting or gift giVing!!

...More Toys???...

With Christmas coming up, I've started brainstorming about what to get the kids...there are so many fun tOys out there, sometimes it's hard to narrow it down! Last year Zac got toys that he's maybe played with a handful of times...so hopefully we can be more selective this year so we don't end up throwing our money into dumb toys that basically just take up space. But then again, maybe I don't need to buy any toys at all....seeing as how my kids had a gReat time with tiNfoil & paPer baGs...go figure!

...Cornbelly's...

We made our way over to Cornbelly's on Friday night with my parents, grandpa, and old roommate Sara. It was so much fun! Zac loved every minute of it & completely tired himself out playing so hard. Outings like this are what makes me love fall so much...and since this is the 2nd year in a row that we've gone, I guess it's a fun little tradition in the making!

...finally, some decorations...

I finally got around to putting up our Halloween decorations yesterday. They've been in storage, so I've been procrastinating the task of getting them up. I always dread the idea of getting the house decorated because I know it means a long day & a messy house...but it's funny because I love doing that stuff, it's just getting the energy to do it I guess. And now our house feels much more festive...and we have a whole 13 days to enjoy them!

This was entirely Zac's idea and personal touch to the decorating. He's very proud of his goldfish decoration!

Emerson is gettting so big so fast...and we really are lOving every minute of having her in our lives. She has the sweetest little temperament and loves to be part of all the action...just like her brother. She's just started to giggle...which is the cutest noise ever...i don't think i could ever get enough of it...

...a quick look back...

I got tagged a few weeks ago...so here's a look into the good old days of Timpview High School!

1. Who were your friends? Angie Nash, Melissa Kolman, Melissa Norton, Kristen Eddington, Liz Brown, Heather Hamblin, Ashley Day, Sarah Clark, Jane Gourley, Jessica Bramble, Traci Powelson, & Rachel Hardie.

2. What sports did you play? None! I hate being center of attention and couldn’t handle the pressure. I really do wish girls could have their own football teams though…I would love it…and would be all over the idea of being quarterback...I must admit, I have a mean spiral! ☺

3. What kind of car did you drive? Oh my first car was our old Toyota van!! Lots of fun memories, but I actually totalled the van (remember that Liz?) and so I moved on to a Ford Taurus, and then an Isuzu rodeo.

4. On Friday nights what were you doing? Hanging out with friends…going to football or basketball games. I don’t know I really can’t remember that well.

5. Were you a party animal? No.

6. Were you considered a flirt? I think I was more friendly than flirty. I remember Ryan Farnsworth talking to me one night telling me that if I would flirt more, more guys would like me…it gave me a complex for a while there!

7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? No…however, I did try out for acapella…did I make it? Hmmmm……

8. Were you a nerd? No.

9. Did you get suspended/expelled? No.

10. Can you still sing the fight song? Let’s see….”Fight on you Thunderbirds wherever you may be, Fight on you Thunderbirds, Fight on to Victory…..” That’s all I remember.

11. Who was your favorite teacher? I loved Ms. Eyer...she taught English my senior year and made a huge impact on my life…such a strong lady.

12. Where did you sit during lunch? We usually left for lunch.

13. Name of school? Timpview

14. School mascot? Thunderbird

15. School Colors? Orange & Blue

16. Rival high school? Provo

17. Did you go to Prom? Yes, with Rob Sperry.

18. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Probably not. I loved it, it was great, and there’s so many fun things to remember about it…but I’ve moved on and love my life right now as it is.

19. What do you remember most about graduation? I remember Erin Wilson & I wore her twin sisters “with honors” tassels so that we looked extra smart…we were sneaky!

20. Where did you go for senior skip day? I don’t remember…hmm.

21. Favorite memory? I can't think of one in particular....it was all fun!

22. Were you in any clubs? Student Government…I was Student Body Secretary.

23. Where did you go most often for lunch? We’d go to Wendy’s, Burger Supreme, Jamba Juice, Great Harvest, or Maxi Mart.

24. Have you gained some weight since then? No.

25. Who was your Senior prom date? J.R. Lindsay

26. Are you planning on going to your 10-year reunion? Yes, I’ll probably help put it together.

27. Who was your high school sweetheart? Freshman & Sophmore year…Quinn Fullmer

28. Do you still talk to people from high school? Yes.

29. Did you win prom queen or king? No.

30. Where did you work in high school? I cleaned houses in my neighborhood, and worked for the Christmas Season at a place called “Comfort Zone”.

31. What were your grades? Mostly B's and then A's in between...I graduated with 3.5...so whatever that equals out to be...

32. What was your dress style? Gap, Abercrombie, American Eagle...

As far as tagging someone else...let's just say if your birthday is in April & you feel up to reminiscing...go right on ahead! :)

...Dinner with the Girls (& Zac)...

During the Priesthood session on Saturday, my mom, sisters, & I (and the kids) made our way to The Pizza Factory for dinner...where it was pretty much full of just women...which really was no surprise seeing as how we're in Utah. It always makes for a fun night and makes me feel very lucky to have so many fun, cute girls in my life!

I had to post this picture of Zac. He's eating a banana pepper...and this was one of like ten. I know they're not super spicy, but for a three year old it seems spicy. He seemed to love them...and at least he ate something! He's a funny little eater. He really doesn't eat a lot, and so when he does eat...I'm all over it...even if it means pizza for breakfast. :)

...Friday's Favorites...

My new favorite t-shirt...my brother Nate found this online and I just had to buy it! What can I say, Chad IS rad! I'm lucky to be able to claim him as mine and this shirt is the perfect way to show off my pride! :)

..."Mom, can I pleeeease eat it now?"...

After Kindermusik today, we stopped by Walmart & found this kit for a halloween gingerbread house. I was planning on setting up all of our halloween decorations today, so I thought this would be a fun thing for Zac to help with. Zac could not wait to show Chad his "surprise" and knew that dad would "think it is soooo cool!" He was right about that, dad was definitely impressed. We'll see how long I can keep Zac from eating it...I'm thinking it was a bad idea to make this yummy decoration like a month before Halloween, because he's picking at it already...and hasn't stopped asking me when he can eat it.

...We LOVE Kindermusik...

Here's Zac at his favorite Kindermusik class. We go once a week for about 40 minutes & Zac loves every minute of it. It's really a fun thing for moms to go do with their kids...lots of singing & interactive play. We've loved it & I'd recommend it to all of you with toddlers...and babies! Emerson loves it just as much as Zac. She'll sit in her little car seat and not make a sound the entire time...it's great!

The moment Zac's been waiting for...he gets his hand stamped at the end of every class & he thinks it's the greatest thing ever...one of those simple pleasures of childhood I guess. ;)
