...candy please...

i had to post this story...on our way to boise last friday we had a potty break, of course. while we were in the gas station, zac wanted just about any toy and piece of candy within reach. this is how our conversation went...

zac: "mom, can i please have some candy?"
me: "no zac. you always get candy and we're not going to get any today."
zac (with a dumb founded look on his face): "um, mom. if i ALWAYS get candy...then get me some, please."

he didn't get any candy...and he was okay with it, thank goodness...but i thought it was so funny that he would put two and two together like he did. apparently, he's getting much smarter than i realize! :)

So did Zac get his candy? It is amazing how smart a little boy can be. They catch onto a lot more than I would expect!

i can totally relate to that story. we had a melt down a week ago at a gas station as well. what is the deal? we have realized that we have kind of spoiled our little trey and are having to teach him lessons about money & work. he now has a piggy bank and does chores around the house and uses his money to buy little toys or candy. it has worked so far. zac is such a cute little guy. is he coming to boise? i am just bringing little lu with me this time. can't wait!

Can't wait to see you Lynds! I was wondering how you liked not being private...I have been considering it.

Little smartie pants! Isn't it funny how they start catching on to things? A simple "no" just doesn't cut it anymore.

That is so sad that Emerson is allergic to peanuts! That's a hard allergy. Peanut oil is in SO many things.

Deacon's rash cleared up after we saw another doctor and he gave us steroids for him to take. Within one dose it started disappearing right before our eyes! I was so relieved. Good luck with little em, hopefully she'll grow out of it.

Jackson too loves candy! If I tell him no however all he has to do is pull this sad face he makes and I can never seem to tell him no.
