remember this picture?? this was from our nice little camping trip that we went on with my family. we went up to my parent's property for the weekend. so you have to know that thanks to my husband, i'm a little bit paranoid of bears & mountain lions...all that crazy wild life out there, right? my dad was so good to reassure me that we'd be just fine. and we were just fine, so that was great. even though i was a little freaked out at times, i went home saying, "when are we going up next?"
well...notice the tent that emerson is sitting up against on our nice little camping trip...

my parents went up to the property again last night with some friends for a little barbeque...and this is what they found on that nice canvas tent that emerson was leaning up against...BEAR PRINTS!! and please notice the claw marks...
and they were ALL OVER THE TENT!! and this was not just a little bear...my dad said they were up about six feet high!!! aaah!!
so no...i told my dad i will NOT be going back there until a cabin is built. and when i go to the cabin, i will be running from car to cabin and stay inside until i leave. talk about crazy!! i'm just glad we weren't there to witness it! :)

Holy CRAP Linds! That is so scary. I am the same way. I love it, but I'm so paranoid.
Scary! I couldn't agree more with you. No camping with bears around. I love all of the pictures below. I am way behind on blogging, so I scrolled down quite a bit. It looks like you have had a fun summer. Your kids are darling and getting so big.
I still can't believe that happened. I will say I loved being a witness to you receiving the news-your reaction was priceless. Hopefully the cabin will be done sooner than later because it looks like such a fun place to go. I'm totally with you about not wanting to go back though-especially with the kids.
whoa. i would freak out. in fact, i am freaking out for you. i love seeing bears from far, far away.

Yikes. No thanks.

Holy cow!!! Definitely push for the cabin. Those pictures are crazy! Even a raccoon in the great outdoors would frighten me.
Holy Poop Lyndsie!
We love to camp...and bears happen to be my biggest fear. How scary! It's a good thing nobody was hurt. Is this in Idaho?
