...Take My Hand...

here's one of my dad's newest paintings, and yes, zac is the little boy in it. he's pretty excited about the idea of being painted with Jesus...i guess as a child, that's probably a pretty cool thing if you stop and think about it. however...zac keeps saying, "that's not Jesus, that's mike...dressed up as Jesus. it's 'posed to be Jesus, but it's mike!"

Take my hand and follow me,
There are things ahead for you to see.
Little wonders are all around,
And tender mercies to be found.
We’ll take our time, no need to run,
Breathe deep the air and feel the sun.
The grass is soft beneath our feet,
Sounds are soothing, the air is sweet.
Sometimes we’ll stop and just be still,
Our hearts will tell us God is real!
Small graces along our path appear,
They let us know that Heaven’s near.
So take my hand anew each day,
The walk is lovely and I know the way.

What a beautiful painting! Wish I could photoshop Dallin's face over Zac's :). That is so neat to have- I'm sure that will mean a lot to Zac for years to come.

Absoultely Love this picture - and with a little boy on the way I would love to buy it and hang it in his room! How sweet for Zac to know that it was him being painted! Your dad is such an unbelievable artist - each picture I see touches me in a different way and is so beautiful! I love his depictions of Christ and we got a beautiful picture last year at Costco when he was there signing them that hangs in our living room over the piano for all to see when they come in our house....such a beautiful picture and a great missionary tool! Love it!

Okay wait, your dad is Greg Olsen?!?!? That is so cool. I LOVE his paintings. I made my mom buy a big original oil painting, the one with the little girl and the butterfly, a few years ago. They are amazing. I love the tender emotions that they convey. That is so neat that Zac gets to be in one of the paintings.
